INTRODUCTON – Who am I?

I am the sum total of my experiences! Good and bad ….. I am a teacher, with an entrepreneurial spirit, musical talent and secretarial skills, concentrating on networking to achieve my DREAM.

NETWORKING – What is it?

The dictionary says a network is an arrangement with intersecting lines and interstices recalling those of a NET. A net is meshed fabric of twine, cord, hair, etc; and piece of this is used for catching fish etc. Matthew 13 vs 47 “Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake caught all kinds of fish.”

DREAMERS – Joseph and Daniel (ate only veg)

Both Joseph and Daniel were removed from their natural environments – both had traumatic experiences, both experienced dreams and the ability to interpret dreams, both were set apart by God, both were saved by God, both were despised by men. Both became prime ministers or controllers of the country in which they were captive. Both of them changed lives because they would not turn from God and follow the ways of men. Joseph was in Egypt and Daniel in Babylon.

MY DREAM – to begin and run a sanctuary (and place of safety) for women (and children) to enable them to uplift themselves and to become the people God intended them to be – to draw out their natural gifts, talents and abilities and assist them to find the right “tools” to make their dreams come true. There is a desperate need for a place of safety to be set up for those women who suffer abusive relationships and have to flee suddenly, and have nowhere to go.

In June 1998 a network marketing plan was put together with a colleague to begin fund-raising for the above dream. This was called “Follow Your Dream”. This network marketing plan did not come to fruition and has been scrapped.

During 1998 an internet website was set up under the name of www.butterflypromotions.co.za whereby women could place their “work” and “ads” on the net for free in order to empower and uplift them. It did not take-off!

A cc by the name of King’s Kid’s Trust cc was registered and Butterfly Promotions trades under this name. There has been no income from this cc to date and expenses are paid my house-keeping money!!

During 1998 and 2000 the Leopard Kingdom Foundation in conjunction with my dear friend and associate, Peter Munns. This entailed extensive rural community work. During this time Peter had a vision which we called “The Lord’s Supper Celebration”. This was to host, organize and co-ordinate a massive revival song festival on the banks of the Inanda Dam, which would include an opportunity for vendors to sell their African crafts. Peter had been involved with the SMME development in the greater Durban area and had prepared business plans, budgets, forecasts, expenses, cash flows and sales budgets for many other projects before we formed LKF. This is still a dream. Other business plans Peter had were implemented, but the timing just was not right.

From early 2001 we started going our own ways and in June I began to write the songs. Life took it’s course and having understood that the only prayer is “The Lord’s Prayer” with the emphasis on ……thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, my policy was and is – to go with the flow of life and “to wait upon the Lord” and in so doing “follow my/your dream”.
